Objectif du poste :

En tant que Directeur(trice) principal(e), Directeur(trice) général(e) – Canada, vous serez responsable de diriger et de livrer les activités de ViiV sur un marché clé. Dans ce rôle, vous aurez l'entière responsabilité du P&L ainsi que de la conformité à toutes les exigences réglementaires et juridiques au Canada. Ce rôle de leadership critique exige de garantir une activité de haute qualité sur le marché en lien avec les personnes, les clients, les parties prenantes et les autorités réglementaires. Vous dirigerez des leaders et des gestionnaires, en faisant preuve d’une culture de coaching, de conduite du changement et en favorisant la performance des équipes. Pour obtenir des résultats, vous collaborerez efficacement avec les leaders mondiaux de ViiV. Vous jouerez un rôle clé pour assurer une concentration adéquate de l’équipe afin de faire croître le portefeuille actuel et de livrer les futurs projets conformément aux plans ambitieux de ViiV. Vous serez également responsable de toutes les interactions avec les décideurs politiques, les organismes de réglementation et autres parties prenantes externes en Amérique du Nord.

Détails (Vos responsabilités) :

Ce rôle vous offrira l’occasion de diriger des activités clés pour faire progresser VOTRE carrière. Ces responsabilités incluent notamment :


  • Responsabilité complète du P&L : Superviser et stimuler l’atteinte des principaux objectifs financiers, incluant les ventes, les volumes, les SG&A, la rentabilité et autres indicateurs clés.
  • Leadership d’équipe : Diriger et développer l’équipe canadienne, assurer l’alignement avec les objectifs financiers et livrer les cibles stratégiques tout en favorisant une culture de haute performance.
  • Leadership du marque: Établir les Injectables à Action Prolongée (IAP) comme nouveau paradigme dans le traitement et la prévention du VIH, tout en maintenant la thérapie orale privilégiée pour les personnes vivant avec le VIH (PVVIH). Concurrencer avec vigueur pour accroître et défendre la position de leader du marché avec les produits ViiV.
  • Stratégie de lancement : Diriger la préparation et l'exécution des lancements de futurs produits avec une allocation judicieuse des ressources, afin d'assurer une entrée réussie sur le marché et renforcer l’ambition globale d’établir les IAP comme nouvelles solutions améliorées pour rapprocher le pays de l’élimination de l’épidémie de VIH.
  • Maximiser la valeur du portefeuille : Exploiter les options multicanales pour maximiser stratégiquement la valeur du cycle de vie du portefeuille VIH de ViiV, en tirant parti des données, des insights et des stratégies de marché pour étendre l’impact au-delà du présentiel, dans une approche véritablement omnicanale, en utilisant l’IA pour améliorer la rapidité, la qualité et l’impact des décisions.
  • Établir ViiV Healthcare comme un chef de file en soins spécialisés : Comprendre les moteurs stratégiques d’une entreprise de soins spécialisés, renforcer les capacités en gestion stratégique des comptes et engager une compétition soutenue avec les principaux comptes afin d’accélérer l’adoption des solutions IAP par les patients et les personnes pouvant bénéficier de la prophylaxie.
  • Relations externes : Établir et renforcer des relations stratégiques avec les décideurs, les organismes de réglementation et les professionnels de la santé afin d’assurer un accès fluide au portefeuille VIH de ViiV.
  • Collaboration avec les équipes mondiales : Travailler étroitement avec les équipes mondiales, nord-américaines et locales pour aligner la stratégie de ViiV au Canada avec les initiatives régionales et mondiales, assurant ainsi le succès sur le marché.

Qualifications de base :

Nous recherchons des professionnel(le)s possédant les compétences suivantes pour atteindre nos objectifs :


  • Diplôme universitaire en sciences ou en affaires.
  • Maîtrise de l’anglais et du français. **
  • Compréhension du VIH et/ou des soins spécialisés.
  • Expérience en gestion de portefeuille de marques et capacité démontrée à apprendre rapidement de nouvelles connaissances sur les maladies et produits.
  • Expérience en direction d’unités commerciales pharmaceutiques en Amérique du Nord.
  • Expérience en vente et en marketing (tant au niveau local que mondial), avec une expérience significative en gestion d’équipes dans ces fonctions.
  • Connaissance de l’accès au marché et de la gestion des comptes stratégiques.
  • Expérience de travail/direction d’équipes dans plusieurs pays/écosystèmes.
  • Expérience en gestion de budget ou de P&L.

  • MBA souhaité.
  • Expertise éprouvée en influence et gestion des parties prenantes de haut niveau (internes et externes) dans un environnement complexe.

Job Purpose:

As the Senior Director, General Manager Canada, you will be responsible for leading and delivering the ViiV business within a key market. In this role, you will have full accountability for the P&L, as well as compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements within Canada. This critical leadership role requires ensuring high-quality activity within the market related to people, customers, stakeholders, and regulators. You will lead both leaders and managers, demonstrating a culture of coaching, driving change, and enabling high-performance teams. To deliver results, you will work effectively and collaboratively with Global Leaders across ViiV. You will play a key part in ensuring the right focus from the team to grow the current portfolio and deliver the future pipeline according to ViiV’s ambitious plans. You will also be accountable for all interactions with policymakers, regulators, and other external stakeholders within North America.

  • Full P&L Responsibility: Oversee and drive the achievement of key financial targets, including sales, volumes, SG&A, profitability, and other business metrics.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Canadian team, ensuring alignment with financial goals and delivering on strategic business targets while cultivating a high-performance culture.
  • Portfolio Leadership: Establish Long Acting Injectable (LAI) as the new paradigm for the treatment and prevention of HIV, while maintaining the preferred Oral therapy for people living with HIV (PLWHIV). Compete fiercely to grow and defend market leadership with ViiV products.
  • Launch Strategy: Lead the preparation and execution of the launches of future assets with smart resource allocation to ensure successful market entry and boost the overall ambition to establish LAI as the new, improved solutions to get the country closer to ending the HIV epidemic.
  • Maximize Portfolio Value: Embrace and utilize multichannel options to strategically maximize the lifecycle value of ViiV's HIV portfolio, leveraging data, insights, and market strategies to extend product impact beyond F2F, in a true omnichannel approach, leveraging AI to improve speed, quality, and impact of decisions.
  • Establish ViiV Healthcare as a Specialty Powerhouse: Understand the strategic drivers of a specialty care company, strengthen the capabilities for Strategic account management, and engage competitively with the top accounts to drive faster adoption of LAI solutions by patients and people who could benefit from prep.
  • External Relationships: Build and strengthen strategic relationships with policymakers, regulators, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless access to ViiV’s HIV portfolio.
  • Collaboration with Global Teams: Work closely with global, North America, and local teams to align ViiV’s strategy in Canada with regional and global initiatives, ensuring market success.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:


  • Undergraduate degree in science or business.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Understanding of HIV and/or specialty care.
  • Experience in portfolio management of brands and demonstrating agility to learn new disease and product knowledge.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical business unit leadership in North America.
  • Experience in both sales and marketing functions (both in-country and at the global level) with considerable experience leading teams in these areas.
  • Knowledge of Market Access and Key Account Management.

  • Experience in managing a budget or a P&L.
  • Commercial acumen


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred
  • Proven expertise in influencing and managing senior stakeholders (both internal and external) while navigating organizational complexity
  • Experience in the treatment and prevention markets would be a plus
