Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team. You will support the dietary needs of residents, assist with meal setup, service and cleanup, and help ensure a pleasant dining experience in a welcoming environment.

Reporting to the Director or Dietary Manager, you will participate in training, uphold health and safety standards, and contribute to a compassionate, inclusive care culture. A Food Handler's Certificate is required, with preference for experience in food service

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Experience in food service, especially with seniors, preferred.
• Ability to provide good customer service and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in the set up and preparation for service of beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery after each seating.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area.
• Assist with catering and participate in special occasions and theme events.
• Assist in orientation and training of new dietary employees.
• Follow health and safety legislation and department procedures.
• Comply with provincial regulations and department policies.
