Job summary

Shore is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to oversee reliable cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability across production and non-production environments. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in DevOps/SRE/infrastructure engineering, including ownership of production systems.
• Strong Linux, networking, and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems.
• Advanced experience with cloud environments (Azure and/or GCP preferred; multi-cloud exposure is an asset).
• Expert-level Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform/Pulumi), including modular design, review practices, and safe change management.
• Strong Kubernetes experience (operations, deployments, security posture, cluster/platform troubleshooting).
• Strong experience with designing and building AI training and inference workflows in a cloud environment.
• Proven CI/CD and release engineering experience (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD or equivalent), including quality gates and safe deployment strategies.
• Proven experience with SDLC methodologies and ITSM familiarity (ServiceNow, JIRA Service Management).
• Demonstrated incident leadership (on-call coordination, RCA authorship, prevention follow-through).
• Security-minded approach: least privilege, secrets management, vulnerability management, audit logging.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability and day-to-day operation of Afflo environments (production and non-production), ensuring uptime and performance.
• Lead triage, mitigation, and restoration during incidents; coordinate with stakeholders through resolution.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and drive prevention to reduce recurrence and improve MTTR.
• Establish on-call standards, escalation paths, maintenance practices, and runbooks.
• Design, build, and maintain secure, resilient cloud infrastructure using IaC with reusable modules.
• Build and improve environment lifecycle workflows for QA/UAT/demo environments.
• Implement secure-by-default patterns: network segmentation, least privilege, secrets handling, encryption, audit logging.
• Perform capacity planning and cost optimization with actionable recommendations.
• Design and maintain AI workloads and pipelines (training, inference) in cloud environments.
• CI/CD, release engineering and delivery enablement: automated gates, checks, rollback readiness.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering and QA to improve test reliability and developer experience.
• Provide operational insights via logs/metrics to identify trends and bottlenecks.
• Ensure ITSM alignment and compliance evidence production for audits.
