Job summary

Manulife is seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE engineer to advance our cloud-first infrastructure. You will streamline CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and optimize Linux/Windows environments across a hybrid Toronto-based setup.

With 5+ years in DevOps or related roles, you will work with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), Terraform/Ansible, and Azure, while promoting security, IaC, and reliable operations across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Eng.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on TeamCity experience with API integrations.
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), Helm, GitOps.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Jenkins experience and Azure cloud experience.
• Linux/Unix/Windows administration.
• Agile development in cross-functional teams.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Artifact management with Artifactory.
• Databases: SQL Server, SQL MI, Oracle, DB2.
• Security tools: Snyk, Contrast, SonarQube.
• Knowledge of C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, .NET.
• Commitment to automation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Continuously evaluate and enhance DevOps practices, processes, and tools.
• Automate manual tasks using Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Implement, manage, and support Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, especially Azure.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations and processes.
• Promote security best practices across development, deployment, and operations.
• Apply IaC principles to automate provisioning and environment management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CI/CD and operational excellence.
