Job summary

Canada Life is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer Specialist to design, implement, and support secure, scalable Azure cloud solutions. You will enable development teams through DevOps tooling, automation, and best practices while ensuring security and compliance across environments.

The role focuses on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and Ansible, plus mentoring and technical leadership for the team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or related disciplines in a large enterprise.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, and DevOps practices.
• Advanced experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and automation tooling like Ansible.
• Drive adoption of DevOps principles within the enterprise DevOps framework.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalents.
• Ensure security, compliance, and observability across development, testing, and production environments.
• Mentor peers and provide technical leadership on tooling, standards, and platform capabilities.
