Job summary

SimCorp is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its cloud-first, FinTech-focused team in Canada. You’ll blend software development and IT operations to improve deployment pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure high service availability across cloud SaaS environments.

You will work in a cross-functional agile setup, mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with clients, and driving continuous improvement through monitoring, feedback, and robust automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
• 5+ years' experience managing cloud applications in the financial sector.
• Demonstrated experience with Azure DevOps and Azure services, including AD, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Key Vault, and Monitoring.
• Extensive Windows and Linux server administration, plus virtualization (VMware, Citrix).
• Proficiency in Azure pipelines, PowerShell, Python, AWS Lambda, and Azure scripting.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support SimCorp Data Management and Cloud SaaS environments for internal and external clients.
• Build and manage cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Apply OS, database, and infrastructure patches in line with current standards.
• Develop and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines to automate builds, deployments, and integrations.
• Create and enhance automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve efficiency.
• Streamline release and deployment processes for faster, more reliable delivery.
• Monitor and alert for Azure services and infrastructure; manage incidents and changes.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity exercises; ensure SOC2 compliance.
