Job summary

Softline™ Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to design, build and support cloud environments for Public Health projects in a primarily onsite setting in Canada.

The role emphasizes security, reliability and scalable architectures with containerized and serverless components. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, leverage Jira/Confluence for project tracking, and produce comprehensive design docs and integration plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in AWS cloud production systems and management.
• Proven ability to design, build and support cloud environments for health/public sector domain.
• Unix/Linux administration including Red Hat, installation, hardening and scripting.
• Experience with containerized architectures (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD integration (GitLab/Jenkins).
• Knowledge of API integrations (Salesforce, MuleSoft).
• Proven security practices in cloud environments (identity, network, encryption).
• Knowledge of PMI and public-sector IT project methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide AWS cloud expertise and cloud environment design, build and support for Public Health domain.
• Monitor performance of cloud-native applications to ensure availability.
• Develop safeguards to protect data integrity and prevent unauthorized access.
• Review production logs and proactively implement improvement measures.
• Hands-on work with microservices and distributed architectures (containers, Kubernetes, serverless).
• Create detailed system design docs, integration plans and configuration specs.
• Produce and maintain documentation and specifications for AWS-based systems.
