Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Solutions Architect for Canada Public Sector, based in Toronto or Ottawa, to lead end-to-end cloud engagements for government and education customers. You will guide organizations from whiteboard to production, shaping secure, compliant, and scalable cloud-native architectures across Ontario with travel around 15%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted technical advisor for public sector customers, designing secure, scalable, cost-effective AWS solutions.
• Define implementation, migration, and transition architectures aligned to missions and compliance requirements.
• Remove blockers and accelerate adoption through deep dives, POCs, and knowledge transfer.
• Support responses to RFIs and RFPs.
• Develop and deliver presentations, demos, sample solutions, blog posts, and whitepapers.
• Work with account managers to ensure customer success in building/migrating apps on AWS.
• Help customers define technical and business strategies that reduce costs and raise citizen/services quality.
• Gain credibility as a speaker at AWS and public sector events.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge with the AWS community.
