Job summary

Softchoice in Montreal, QC, seeks an Architect with deep AWS expertise to lead cloud strategy and implement cloud solutions for clients. You will partner with presales teams to translate business needs into scalable architectures and guide DevOps and project managers.

8–10 years of AWS-focused architecture, Terraform/CloudFormation, Kubernetes, and strong leadership required. Travel up to 10% and competitive benefits accompany a dynamic, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience leveraging AWS projects and services.
• Leadership in large tech consulting or software projects.
• Deep knowledge of cloud, microservices (Kubernetes) and AWS integrations.
• Design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure and services.
• Bachelor’s or equivalent in a relevant field; strong IaC skills.
• Proficient in Terraform or CloudFormation; scripting languages listed above.
• DevOps culture, tools, and continuous delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams and clients to understand business requirements and design comprehensive technology solutions.
• Provide technical expertise during the sales process, including presentations and proposals.
• Lead design and implementation of technology solutions, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
• Provide overviews of complex architectures and updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure cloud solutions meet security standards and compliance best practices.
• Communicate with project managers, teams, and customers ahead of milestones.
• Create and update project documentation as required by leads.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to AWS practice growth.
• Engage in internal initiatives to build AWS capability and new solutions.
