Job summary

Altis Technology is seeking a Senior Software Developer to transform legacy enterprise apps into scalable cloud-enabled solutions in Ontario. You will work with architects, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performing software using Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities include designing RESTful services, modernizing systems, and maintaining Azure-based deployments while mentoring peers within a multi-year modernization program.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise software development using C#, .NET Core and ASP.NET technologies.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and designing REST APIs with secure auth (JWT/OAuth2).
• Strong Angular/JavaScript skill set and responsive UI experience.
• Expertise in MS SQL Server including performance tuning.
• Hands-on Azure services, DevOps practices, and cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of architecture patterns (DDD, API-first, event-driven) and secure engineering.

Your Responsibilities

• You'll design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Angular, JavaScript, and related technologies.
• You'll modernize legacy .NET Framework, WCF, Windows Services, Windows Forms, and IIS-hosted applications by decomposing monolithic systems into modular, API-driven solutions.
• You'll build secure REST APIs, implement JWT and OAuth2 authentication, and develop scalable, high-performance applications using asynchronous and multithreaded programming.
• You'll develop and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases while supporting Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, Event Hub, Azure Data Explorer, Key Vault, Application Insights, and Azure Monitor.
• You'll support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, maintainable software solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise software development experience using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and legacy ASP.NET Framework technologies.
• Demonstrated experience modernizing legacy applications, designing REST APIs, and implementing secure authentication and authorization using JWT and OAuth2.
• Strong experience developing Angular applications, including AngularJS migration, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, component-based architecture, and responsive user interfaces.
• Advanced Microsoft SQL Server expertise, including T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, query optimization, execution plans, and database performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, and cloud-native development.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), API-first design, event-driven architecture, design patterns, Agile delivery, and secure software engineering practices.
• Experience developing and supporting integrations between healthcare applications and systems.
• Familiarity with HL7 standards and healthcare messaging, including troubleshooting HL7 interfaces.
• Knowledge of FHIR standards, resources, APIs, and modern healthcare interoperability.
• Hands-on experience developing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Mirth Connect channels and integrations is considered a strong asset.
