Job summary

COFOMO is a leading Canadian consulting firm in Montreal seeking a Senior Developer to design and implement resilient cloud architectures, migrate infrastructures to AWS, and promote DevOps practices across hybrid environments.

You will work with Linux/Unix, Python, Bash, and Go/Java/JavaScript, using Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, and monitoring tools to ensure secure, scalable services. Bilingual French/English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Hold a university degree in a related field and possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience.
• Have an official AWS Architect certification.
• Be proficient in Linux/Unix administration, including script development.
• Have advanced knowledge of CLI, AWS Cloud, Python, Bash and Git.
• Know at least one programming language from Python, Go, Java, Ruby, or JavaScript.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Istio or other service mesh solutions.
• Have experience in networking including VPC, SDN/VLAN, DNS, routers and firewalls.
• Use monitoring and alerting tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Sysdig or DataDog.
• Be familiar with log aggregation tools such as FluentD, ELK, or Splunk.
• This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada.
