Job summary

AECOM is seeking a results-driven Senior Design-Build Project Manager to join our Buildings + Places team in Canada. You will lead complex projects using Design-Build and alternative delivery models, acting as the single accountable leader for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety outcomes.

This role offers hybrid work and opportunities to shape major infrastructure and building projects across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field with 8+ years of multi-project experience.
• Experience delivering Design-Build or alternative delivery projects.
• Ability to obtain Government of Canada security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design-Build and alternative delivery projects from early strategy through construction and close-out.
• Act as the single point of accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety outcomes.
• Drive project execution strategies that integrate design, construction, and stakeholder requirements.
• Partner with design-build contractors, joint venture partners, consultants, and internal teams to ensure constructability and alignment.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering, and project controls.
• Ensure seamless integration between design development and construction execution.
• Manage project financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, fee management, and margin optimization.
• Oversee change management, contract administration, and commercial risk management.
• Monitor progress against milestones and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, GC estimators and design managers on value engineering options.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; ensure quality management and safe work practices.
• Lead client interface, coordinating with AHJs and regulatory bodies; enable effective communication across stakeholders.
• Support capture strategies, proposals, and client engagement; identify opportunities for repeat work.
