Job summary
AECOM's Buildings + Places team in Burnaby is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to help deliver high-impact building and infrastructure projects across Western Canada while supporting the growth of our structural practice. This is a newly created position.
This role combines technical leadership, project delivery, client engagement, business development, and team mentorship within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- P.Eng. in good standing with Engineers Canada
- Experience leading multidisciplinary building and infrastructure projects from concept through construction
- Strong knowledge of Canadian structural codes and standards
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and delivery for complex building and infrastructure projects
- Provide technical leadership, quality reviews, and mentorship to engineers, EITs, and technologists
- Support proposals, fee estimates, client relationships, and business development activities
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, and construction
- Conduct site reviews, assessments, and construction support services
- Support the growth and development of AECOM's Structural practice in British Columbia
