AgeCare is seeking an Adult Day Program Aide to support residents in personal care, health maintenance, recreation, and one-on-one interventions within our long-term care setting.

You will assist residents during dining, record program outcomes, and help ensure safety under the supervision of a Staff Nurse. A PCA certificate and fluent English are required; one year in a long-term care or related environment is preferred.

Formación

• One year of experience in a long term care center or related environment is preferred.
• Completion of a recognized Personal Care Aide (PCA/HCA 2002 or greater) Certificate Course or Equivalent Education Certificate.
• Post-secondary education is an asset.
• Must be fluent in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsabilidades

• Works in areas including personal care, health maintenance, recreation planning and implementation, charting and one-on-one resident interventions.
• Records resident program outcomes on appropriate forms & flow sheets.
• Provides routine treatments and care procedures to residents, under the direction of the Staff Nurse.
• Assists residents to and from the Dining room for meals, with or without mobility aids.
• Performs duties with resident safety as the priority.
