Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Principal Architect to drive the DataEdge platform strategy across cloud-native, data integration, replication and AI-enabled solutions. You will partner with Product Management, Engineering, and executives to align roadmaps, investments, and architectural decisions with business goals.

You will lead architectural reviews, foster shared services and APIs, and mentor senior engineers while advancing platform-wide scalability, security, and observability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience defining architecture and technology strategy across multiple enterprise products or platforms.
• Strong expertise in cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and modern software delivery.
• Proven ability to mentor senior engineers or architects and lead cross-team initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define the DataEdge platform strategy in collaboration with Product Management and executive leadership.
• Build alignment across Product and Engineering teams to deliver a cross-product technical roadmap.
• Collaborate with architects across Rocket portfolios to identify shared platform opportunities and drive consistency.
• Lead the development of reusable services, APIs, and common platform capabilities.
• Define cloud-native deployment, observability, security, and operational excellence strategies.
• Guide adoption of AI platform capabilities and intelligent automation across DataEdge.
• Prioritize AI capabilities that deliver measurable customer value and differentiation.
• Represent DataEdge strategy externally, staying informed on industry trends and competitors.
• Shape DataEdge integration within the broader data, analytics, and AI ecosystem across Rocket.
• Promote open APIs and interoperability for diverse environments.
• Coach teams on AI-enabled development, including AI-assisted coding and testing.
• Lead architecture reviews, communicate tradeoffs, and mentor senior talent across the portfolio.
