Job summary

OpsGuru, a Carbon60 Company, seeks a Data Solutions Architect to guide data platform design and lead data engineering initiatives in cloud environments. You will mentor teams and ensure alignment with client goals and OpsGuru quality standards.

You will collaborate with Principal Consultants to deliver end-to-end data solutions, including ETL/ELT, data lakes, AI/ML components, and governance, while optimizing cost and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in public cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• 5+ years of developing code using Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience building complex data engineering pipelines and ETL/ELT tasks.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, MariaDB) or managed cloud RDBMS (Amazon Aurora).
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, CouchDB, ElasticSearch, Neo4j, DynamoDB, BigTable, etc.).
• Experience building batch processing and real-time processing systems.
• Experience building Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
• Experience with 3+ of the following: streaming, BI tools, AI/ML, caching, object stores.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep technical expertise and leadership across cloud data technologies; drive tool selection and best practices.
• Lead design and implementation of data platforms to meet business needs.
• Lead whiteboard design sessions with internal/external team members.
• Identify and communicate technical risks as projects evolve.
• Collaborate with Principal Consultants to extract requirements and define a technical roadmap.
• Lead data engineers to execute roadmaps and guide priorities.
• Manage scope within engagements and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Maintain credibility and build relationships with customers as a trusted advisor.
• Establish governance and best practices for data projects.
