Job summary

Cognizant Consulting is seeking a Senior Consulting Manager – Sr. Business Analyst, Master Data Management / Counterparty, to drive strategic data transformations for Capital Markets clients in Toronto.

You will analyze reference data ecosystems, define future-state operating models, and develop roadmaps that improve data governance and efficiency. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in reference data, counterparty management, and stakeholder engagement within large financial institutions,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
10–15 years in Business Analysis or Capital Markets; Reference Data/MDM/Data Strategy transformation.
Strong knowledge of onboarding, counterparty data, and entity hierarchies; securities processing.

Responsibilities

Analyze client and counterparty reference data processes, models, hierarchies, and relationships.
Assess current capabilities vs. industry best practices in MDM and entity management.
Partner with stakeholders to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities.
Lead requirements gathering sessions and translate needs into actionable specs.
Define target-state capabilities, operating model improvements, and data governance.
