Job summary
COFOMO in Montreal is seeking a Senior Data Functional Analyst to drive functional analysis across data platforms, regulatory reporting, and data governance. You will translate business needs into clear specifications and work with operations, compliance, data engineering and product teams to ensure data models meet regulatory requirements.
You will collaborate closely with data engineers and analysts to validate data flows, perform impact analyses and support agile delivery.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in functional/data analysis in banking or financial services.
- Fluent in French and English for daily tasks.
- Proficient SQL Server and T-SQL with strong data analysis skills.
- Experience with Snowflake, AWS, ETL/ELT concepts.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze and document data and business needs for regulatory reporting.
- Translate operations and compliance needs into functional requirements and user stories.
- Define data rules, mappings, and data quality controls; validate data models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams; support validation and workshops.
