We're seeking a Senior Data Engineering Specialist to join our Credit Risk - Data Infrastructure team in Risk Tech. The role involves planning, designing, and contributing to database development (Data Warehousing, ETL, etc.) and engineering activities.

As part of the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build capabilities that power our Firm, enabling clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape communities. This is a Lead Data & Analytics Engineering position at Vice President level. The role provides specialist data analysis and expertise to drive decision-making and business insights, including crafting data pipelines, implementing data models, and optimizing data processes, with applications of machine learning and AI techniques.

What you’ll do in the role:

1. Support infrastructure upgrades involving databases and other environments.
2. Develop and support Data Ingestion Frameworks (using Spark, Python, Databricks, Snowpipe, etc.).
3. Implement DevOps practices like Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, and Build Automation using tools like Git.

What you’ll bring to the role:

1. 7+ years of experience in Data Warehousing.
2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
3. Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (data modelling, transformations).
4. Proficiency in Relational Databases and complex SQL.
5. Programming skills, preferably in Python.
6. Understanding of Unix shell scripting.
7. Knowledge of DevOps in the Data space.
8. Hands-on experience with Spark, Snowflake, and/or Databricks.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All positions are based in Montreal, Quebec, with a hybrid work environment. Knowledge of French and English is required.
