Job summary

Plusgrade Travel is seeking a seasoned data engineer to own and evolve our high-scale data platform. You will design resilient batch and streaming pipelines, optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost, and mentor engineers across the team.

Work closely with data scientists and product teams to ensure scalable, trusted data flows. You will bring advanced Python/SQL skills and hands-on experience with Snowflake, Airflow, and Dagster to build production-grade pipelines.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, plus experience with modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
• Track record building production-grade pipelines with Airflow or Dagster.
• Experience delivering real-time streaming architectures and scalable monitoring/data quality frameworks.
• Strong software engineering foundations: testing, version control, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive cross-team collaboration on AI-driven systems.

You will design and implement resilient batch and streaming data pipelines, translating high-level architecture into actionable engineering solutions. You will optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency while mentoring intermediate engineers across the team. Our delivery model actively integrates advanced automation, so you will help restructure how our pipelines and tools are built, reviewed, and delivered around intelligent systems. Working closely with data scientists and product teams, you will ensure our mission-critical data flows remain scalable and trusted end to end.

What You Bring

You have advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data warehouses like Snowflake, along with a track record of building production-grade pipelines using tools like Airflow or Dagster.

You have structurally changed how your team works around AI, building shared systems others depend on and raising the technical bar for the developers around you.

You bring deep hands-on experience with real-time streaming architectures and have successfully scaled automated monitoring and data quality frameworks for critical pipelines.

You possess a strong software engineering foundation, applying robust testing, version control, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code to everything you build.
