Job summary

PSP Investments, a leading Canadian pension investor, seeks a Senior Data Specialist within the Data Analytics Enablement team. You will guide the Data & Analytics roadmap, provide SME input on data structures and platform capabilities, and oversee data ingestion from internal and external sources to ensure reliable, well-documented data flows.

You will champion data quality and the data catalogue while applying emerging AI tools to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a data support, data integration, or analytics enablement role in financial services or asset management.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience in cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.
Strong knowledge of BI and analytics.
Experience with SDLC processes and Agile/DevOps delivery models.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across the analytics development cycle.
Detail-oriented and organized with a continuous-improvement mindset.
Bilingual English and French; interactions with teams in Montreal/Ottawa and other offices.

Responsibilities

Guide the delivery of the Data & Analytics roadmap to enable data-driven decisions.
Act as senior data specialist, providing SME on data structures, sources, and platform capabilities.
Oversee ingestion and integration of internal/external data, ensuring reliable, well-documented data flows.
Manage market data requests from external providers, ensuring licensing and timely delivery.
Oversee data quality practices and champion the data catalogue for discoverable, trusted data products.
Build proficiency with emerging AI tools to improve team efficiency.
Serve as key advisor on analytics and operations solutions across the team.
Analyze and interpret data to derive actionable business insights.
Guide continuous improvement and ongoing support of the Data Analytics platform.
