About The Role
At KOHO, our Senior Data Analysts are strategic partners who transform raw data into actionable business impact. We seek an experienced analyst who combines technical expertise and business strategy to join our data team. You will own key domains within our fintech ecosystem, converting complex financial data into pipelines and narratives that influence decision-making at all levels. The ideal candidate is technically proficient and business-savvy, comfortable optimizing SQL queries and presenting insights to stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  1. Own large data domains: integrating data requirements into project planning, collaborating with cross-functional teams, building pipelines and dashboards, coordinating with data team members, and maintaining our data warehouse as KOHO’s source of truth.
  2. Design and optimize data models with a focus on performance, leveraging advanced DBT features independently.
  3. Develop dashboards that answer critical business questions and support strategic decisions.
  4. Identify trends and opportunities through deep data analysis, uncovering additional insights beyond immediate requests.
  5. Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and provide data-driven recommendations aligned with business priorities.
  6. Own project planning autonomously and participate in cross-domain ownership.
  7. Mentor team members and help establish best practices within the data organization.

Who You Are

  1. 5+ years of experience in data roles.
  2. Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write, review, and optimize queries for performance.
  3. Expertise in DBT, capable of implementing complex features independently.
  4. Proficiency with Git for version control, analyzing code history, and reviewing PRs.
  5. Excellent data storytelling skills, able to communicate technical insights to diverse audiences.
  6. Proactive in identifying priorities based on business needs and collaborating effectively with stakeholders.

Bonus Skills

  • DBT certification.
  • Experience in the financial industry.
  • Track record of process improvements and data governance.
