Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join the security operations team in Kimberley, Canada. You will monitor security systems, investigate potential incidents, and implement robust controls to protect the organization’s digital assets in an in‑office setting.

You will lead threat detection and incident response efforts, conduct vulnerability assessments, and help shape security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in cybersecurity focusing on threat detection and incident response.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, networks, and attack vectors.
• Hands-on with SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and EDR tools.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001; CISSP/CISM/GIAC desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
• Investigate incidents, perform forensics, and develop response plans.
• Implement and manage security controls including endpoints and access.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
• Develop and maintain security policies and documentation.
• Stay updated on threats and recommend improvements.
