Placements24 is seeking a Senior Information Security Officer to lead security initiatives for operations based in Kimberley. This hybrid role blends on-site engagement with remote work, focusing on developing and implementing robust security strategies and policies to protect digital assets and manage risk.

You will oversee incident response, security awareness, and regulatory compliance, work with IT and business units, and stay ahead of evolving threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree valued.
• Minimum of 6 years in information security with strong background in policy development, risk management and compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and data protection regulations.
• Proven experience in managing security incidents and leading security projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify security vulnerabilities, and manage remediation efforts.
• Oversee security incident response activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Manage security awareness training programs for employees.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure security is integrated into operations.
