Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Analyst specialized in Threat Intelligence to join our Kimberley team. You will monitor the global threat landscape, analyze data from OSINT, commercial feeds, and more, and provide actionable intelligence to strengthen defensive capabilities.

The role requires 2–4 years of cybersecurity experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong research, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity or related field.
  • 2–4 years of cybersecurity experience focusing on threat intelligence/analysis.
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and tools.
  • Understanding of cyber threat actor TTPs and attack methodologies.
  • Strong research, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret threat intelligence from OSINT, commercial feeds, and other sources.
  • Identify and track threat actors, campaigns, and malware relevant to the industry.
  • Develop and disseminate threat intelligence reports and alerts for security operations.
  • Contribute to threat models and predictive analyses.
  • Collaborate with incident response and security operations to integrate threat intel.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Information Security Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence to join their team in Kimberley. This crucial role involves monitoring the global threat landscape, identifying potential risks to the organization, and providing actionable intelligence to enhance our defensive capabilities. You will analyze threat data from various sources, understand adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and possesses a keen interest in staying ahead of emerging cyber threats to protect sensitive company information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret threat intelligence from multiple sources (e.g., OSINT, commercial feeds, dark web).
  • Identify and track threat actors, campaigns, and malware relevant to the organization's industry.
  • Develop and disseminate threat intelligence reports and alerts to inform security operations and decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of threat models and predictive analysis.
  • Collaborate with incident response and security operations teams to integrate threat intelligence into defensive strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat intelligence or analysis.
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and tools.
  • Understanding of cyber threat actor TTPs and attack methodologies.
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
