You will lead threat detection and incident response efforts, conduct vulnerability assessments, and help shape security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in cybersecurity focusing on threat detection and incident response.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, networks, and attack vectors.
• Hands-on with SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and EDR tools.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001; CISSP/CISM/GIAC desirable.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from various systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) to detect and analyze potential security threats.
• Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and develop incident response plans.
• Implement and manage security controls, including endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and access control systems.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat detection and incident response.
• Strong understanding of security principles, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM systems, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Proficiency in security frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.
