Job summary

6 Acres based in 203 Carrall Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 2J2 is seeking a Cook who is self-motivated with good interpersonal skills. The position is permanent and full-time with evening and weekend shifts.

The successful candidate will start as soon as possible and may train staff in food preparation and kitchen operations. Fluency in English, a safe food handling certificate, and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train staff in food preparation, cooking and handling.
• Supervise kitchen staff and assistants.
• Organise and manage buffets and banquets.
• Oversee kitchen operations.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
• Clean the kitchen and work areas.
• Keep inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Prepare and cook meals and individual dishes.
• Plan menus, portion sizes, and monitor supplies.
• Prepare dishes for customers with allergies or intolerances.
