Job summary

Atwell Talent is seeking a Controller, Corporate Finance and Accounting for our client, a long-standing real estate developer in Vancouver. This leadership role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, controls, treasury, and systems, partnering with the CFO to drive strategic insights.

You will lead a team, enhance processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver accurate statements across entities and US operations. CPA preferred; strong Excel and Yardi Voyager experience essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred; CFA or CTP considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel; Yardi Voyager experience is a plus.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to lead teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review, and delivery of timely financial statements across the organization.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with department heads.
• Design and strengthen internal controls; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee treasury, cash management, and liquidity planning.
• Develop and mentor the Corporate Finance & Accounting team.
• Drive finance process improvements and system enhancements.
