Job summary

Vanderlande North America is seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to oversee risk management, claims resolution, and contract processes for customer agreements and subcontractors. You will develop robust management processes and serve as a liaison across legal, procurement, and finance teams.

The role reports to the VP of Operations Airport and Parcel Solutions, North America, and may involve leading a team. Domestic and international travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of contract management experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, airport or aviation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth understanding of contract law, construction law, and international regulations impacting airport infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with OSHA, FAR, construction permitting regulations, etc.
• Experience with contract management software packages: Procore, BIM modelling, Primavera, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust contract management processes and standards to ensure project teams comply with contract requirements.
• Develop adherence tools, procedures, and audit performance of project contract management.
• Support project subcontractor management with compliance oversight and standard tools.
• Ensure project teams comply with customer contract requirements and deliverables.
• Develop claim strategies for customer and subcontract claims or defenses.
• Optimize the change order process to maximize revenue within contractual limits.
• Manage project contract configuration and document/file management.
• Identify risks and issues related to contract requirements or non-compliance.
• Monitor contract performance and address non-compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide training on contract topics and adherence best practices.
• Serve as the main contact for stakeholders across legal, procurement, operations, and finance.
• Maintain relationships with airport clients and manage expectations under contracts.
• Act as escalation point for disputes or issues to drive timely resolutions.
• Management of a team may be required.
