Job summary

SAP Fioneer is seeking a Senior Consultant - SAP (FDS) / Data Modelling to guide data management and reporting for clients in the insurance sector. You will design, build, and deploy data integration and management solutions, and create data models to support analytical applications and reporting.

You will collaborate with Software Development and Sales teams, bring 3+ years of IT transformation experience, and leverage SAP FDS/SAP BW knowledge to deliver impactful results in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• 3+ years of professional experience in IT transformation projects.
• Experience in designing data management processes for the insurance sector.
• Solid understanding of mapping, interfacing and modeling of FSI products.
• Experience configuring SAP solutions like SAP FDS or SAP BW on HANA.
• Proficiency in data modeling with ABAP dictionary, SQL, SAP HANA or SAP BTP.
• Exposure to AI agents and Claude code.
• Strong interpersonal, customer-focused skills and willingness to travel 50%.

Job location

For this role you can work anywhere in Canada, with willingness to travel to meet the team on-site from time to time in Calgary or Toronto.

About the Role

• As a Senior Consultant - SAP (FDS) / Data Modelling you will bring deep expertise in data management and reporting to assist our clients in the Insurance industry with their transformation projects. In this role, you'll work closely with clients to analyze their data management and reporting needs. Your tasks will include designing, building, and deploying functionality for data integration and data management. Additionally, you will create data models that facilitate the integration of analytical applications and support reporting needs.
• To provide the best solutions for these processes, you'll collaborate with various teams at SAP Fioneer, such as Software Development and Sales.

• A university degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Possess 3+ years of professional experience in IT transformation projects.
• Initial experience in designing data management processes for the insurance sector.
• A solid understanding of the technical mapping, interfacing and modeling of FSI products.
• Basic experience in configuring one of the following SAP solutions: SAP FDS, SAP BW on HANA, or SAP BW/4HANA.
• Proficiency in data modeling with ABAP dictionary, SQL, SAP HANA, SAP BTP or another database is preferred.
• Exposed to AI agents and Claude code
• Exhibit positive, customer-focused interpersonal skills and attitude.
• Willingness to travel (50%).
• Proficiency in both English (written and oral)
