Job summary

SAP Fioneer is seeking a Senior Consultant - SAP (FDS) / Data Modelling to assist banking clients with transformation projects. You will design, build, and deploy data integration and data management solutions, and create data models to support reporting needs.

Requirements include a university degree, 3+ years in IT transformation, banking domain experience, and proficiency in ABAP, SQL, SAP HANA, and related SAP tools. Travel up to 50% and fluent English are expected.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 3+ years of professional IT transformation experience.
• Initial experience in data management for banking sector.
• Solid understanding of mapping, interfacing and modeling of FSI products.
• Experience configuring SAP FDS or SAP BW variants.
• Proficiency in data modelling with ABAP dictionary, SQL, SAP HANA or SAP BTP.
• Experience with AI agents and Claude code is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Job location

For this role you can work anywhere in Canada, with willingness to travel to meet the team on-site from time to time in Calgary or Toronto.

About the Role

• As a Senior Consultant - SAP (FDS) / Data Modelling you will bring deep expertise in data management and reporting to assist our clients in the Banking industry with their transformation projects. In this role, you'll work closely with clients to analyze their data management and reporting needs. Your tasks will include designing, building, and deploying functionality for data integration and data management. Additionally, you will create data models that facilitate the integration of analytical applications and support reporting needs.
• To provide the best solutions for these processes, you'll collaborate with various teams at SAP Fioneer, such as Software Development and Sales.

• A university degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Possess 3+ years of professional experience in IT transformation projects.
• Initial experience in designing data management processes for the banking sector.
• A solid understanding of the technical mapping, interfacing and modeling of FSI products.
• Basic experience in configuring one of the following SAP solutions: SAP FDS, SAP BW on HANA, or SAP BW/4HANA.
• Proficiency in data modeling with ABAP dictionary, SQL, SAP HANA, SAP BTP or another database is preferred.
• Exposed to AI agents and Claude code
• Exhibit positive, customer-focused interpersonal skills and attitude.
• Willingness to travel (50%).
• Proficiency in both English (written and oral)
