Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Sr Consultant, Salesforce Developer to lead Salesforce CRM solution design and delivery within a hybrid work model in Toronto. You’ll develop scalable Salesforce apps, integrate with Azure-enabled environments, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, high-quality delivery.

The role emphasizes hands-on Salesforce development, enterprise-scale implementations, and adherence to SOLID principles to ensure robust, maintainable solutions for our clients and teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, including hands-on delivery of Salesforce solutions in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Azure-enabled environments or cross-platform system integrations is a plus.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of complex Salesforce CRM solutions from design through deployment.
• Develop Salesforce applications using Apex, Triggers, Lightning Components, Visualforce, Flow Builder, workflows, JavaScript, and related technologies.

What you’ll be doing

Core Banking and Payments Technology delivers the platforms and solutions that support essential banking experiences for our clients and teams. As a Sr Consultant, Salesforce Developer, you’ll lead the design and delivery of complex enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions that align with CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap and business priorities. You’ll develop and implement scalable, high-quality Salesforce applications, while partnering with cross-functional teams to support integration across multi-platform environments, including Azure-enabled systems. In this role, you’ll contribute technical expertise across the full development lifecycle, from design and coding to testing, implementation, and optimization. You’ll also help strengthen development practices by promoting code quality, solution reliability, and secure, supportable delivery standards. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on‑site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

• Technical solution delivery - Lead the development and implementation of complex Salesforce CRM solutions from design through deployment, ensuring alignment with business requirements and CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap.
• Application development - Develop, code, test, analyze, and implement high-quality Salesforce solutions using Apex, Triggers, Lightning Components, Visualforce, Flow Builder, workflows, JavaScript, and related technologies.
• Systems design and integration - Participate in the design, development, and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems, including Salesforce solutions within Azure-enabled environments.
• Quality and optimization - Review, analyze, debug, and enhance application code and programming systems to improve scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
• Development standards - Apply software design best practices, including SOLID principles, and champion secure, robust, and supportable development standards across solution delivery.
