CIBC is seeking a full-time Full Stack Developer to drive digital transformation in the Core Banking and Product Technology group. You will build, implement and maintain scalable, personalized client solutions and lead technical design, development and integration efforts.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor peers while shaping multi-year technology roadmaps and back-end system enhancements.

• 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring, Angular and AWS
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale web applications and APIs
• Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and cloud-native architectures

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Core Banking and Product Technology group supporting the Insurance portfolio. You’ll be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems. As a Full stack Developer, you will build, implement and maintain easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience. You’ll lead the planning and strategy for the technical design, development and integration of these applications.

How You’ll Succeed

• Design and development - Perform and coordinate complex application programming activities. Design the application’s technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost‑effective and innovative solutions.
• Strategic planning - Develop multi‑year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.
• Leadership skills - Support and mentor team members by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.

Who You Are

• You can demonstrate 5+ years of experience in technical tools such as: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, MongoDB, AWS, Restful APIs. It is an asset if you have: Salesforce & MuleSoft development experience, DevOps CI/CD development experience. Cloud development - Azure/AWS/GCP.
• You have experience delivering technology solutions in the Insurance industry, with an understanding of core insurance workflows and regulated environments, is considered an asset.
