As an Associate, Correspondent Banking, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of CIBC's global Correspondent Banking franchise. Working closely with the Head of CAD Clearing & Client Management and senior members of the Correspondent Banking team, you will help identify, pursue, and onboard new financial institution clients while supporting the delivery of CIBC's Canadian Dollar clearing, payments, deposits, liquidity, and trade finance solutions.
This is a front-office business development role focused on client acquisition, sales support, market intelligence, and onboarding execution. The Associate, Correspondent Banking will work with financial institution clients globally, including banks, broker dealers, futures commission merchants (FCMs), asset managers, payment companies, and other financial market participants.
You will gain exposure to a broad range of Global Transaction Banking and Capital Markets products while working closely with senior leaders, product partners, and clients across North America, EMEA, and APAC. You will work alongside experienced professionals across Global Transaction Banking, Capital Markets, Treasury, Operations, and Risk Management, providing valuable opportunities to build relationships, develop expertise, and accelerate your career growth.

You can demonstrate experience. In corporate banking, transaction banking, treasury services, correspondent banking, payments, capital markets, consulting, financial institutions coverage, and/or a related financial services environment.
You have experience supporting client-facing business development, sales initiatives, or client acquisition activities.
You have experience preparing presentations, business cases, financial analysis, and management reporting.
You have a degree. In Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, and/or a related discipline.
MBA, Master of Finance, Master of Economics, Master of Financial Risk Management, or a similar graduate degree is considered a strong asset.
Professional designations such as CFA, CSC, CTP, FRM, or related credentials are considered an asset.
