Job summary

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) is seeking a senior Full Stack Developer to join its Core Banking and Product Technology group in Toronto. You will deliver enterprise-scale projects across multiple back-end systems, designing and implementing flexible, client-centric solutions that support our digital transformation.

Qualifications

  • .5+ years of experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, MongoDB, AWS, RESTful APIs.
  • Salesforce & MuleSoft development experience, and DevOps CI/CD development is a plus.
  • Cloud development with Azure/AWS/GCP.
  • Experience delivering technology solutions in the Insurance industry and understanding of core workflows and regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver complex enterprise-scale applications within the Insurance-focused portfolio.
  • Lead technical design, development, and integration of applications, coordinating with backend systems.
  • Develop multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with bank strategy and business objectives.
  • Mentor team members and promote collaboration across cross-functional teams.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Core Banking and Product Technology group supporting the Insurance portfolio. You’ll be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems. As a Full stack Developer, you will build, implement and maintain easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience. You’ll lead the planning and strategy for the technical design, development and integration of these applications. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How you’ll succeed

Design and development - Perform and coordinate complex application programming activities. Design the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.

Strategic planning - Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.

Leadership skills - Support and mentor team members by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.

Who You Are

You can demonstrate 5+ years of experience in technical tools such as: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, MongoDB, AWS ,Restful APIs.

It is an asset if you have: Salesforce & MuleSoft development experience, DevOps CI/CD development experience.

Cloud development - Azure/AWS/GCP.

You have experience delivering technology solutions in the Insurance industry, with an understanding of core insurance workflows and regulated environments, is considered an asset.
