Job summary

Stelumar Advanced Manufacturing Inc. (SAMI) seeks a seasoned Superintendent to manage multi-family residential construction from excavation to warranty closeout in Etobicoke, Mississauga, and surrounding areas.

The role emphasizes budget adherence, safety, and zero-defect outcomes by coordinating trades, inspectors, suppliers, and staff. You will ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code and health and safety regulations, lead scheduling, and communicate across offices to keep projects on

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of multi-family residential construction management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other health and safety regulations.
• Clear understanding of contracts, plans, and specifications, as well as construction methods, materials and regulations.
• Flexible, with the ability to work at locations across the division.
• Strong organizational skills, including tracking and controlling of costs, budgets and schedule.
• Must be detailed and thorough.
• Ability to train and mentor staff through advanced leadership skills with the ability to delegate as required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required, both oral and written.
• Ability to travel to sites and live out of town as required.
• Valid Class G driver’s license with the ability to travel as required to various job sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely construction of multiple building types from excavation to warranty service signoff.
• Ensure adherence to Stelumar Construction Processes and policy.
• Monitor daily trade functions for timeliness and quality.
• Conduct site walkthroughs to ensure code compliance and quality.
• Coordinate ordering and delivery of materials with project schedule.
• Schedule early trades and coordinate materials for initial building stages.
• Supervise on-site construction staff and subcontractors.
