S I Systems is working with a Calgary-based client to locate an intermediate/senior construction purchasing specialist with 5+ years of procurement experience to support construction and facilities projects.

The position is a 1-year contract in a hybrid Calgary environment, requiring CCDC contract experience, competitive bidding, sourcing, negotiation, and strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction procurement/purchasing.
• 3+ years with CCDC contracts.
• Knowledge of procurement, materials, lifecycle.
• Experience with bidding, sourcing, negotiation, and contracts.
• SCMP designation.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials, supplies, equipment, and services for construction and facilities projects.
• Lead bidding, sourcing, negotiation, and contract activities with CCDC standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, Facilities Management, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies and government regulations.
• Support contract execution, documentation, internal controls, and financial processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
