Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited is seeking a Project Manager, Construction to guide a team of consultants, general contractors, and vendors across multiple stores and capital projects. You will monitor budgets, schedules, risk, design, safety, and quality, ensuring high levels of stakeholder satisfaction.

You will liaise with planning and development teams, prepare cost estimates, manage procurement, and drive project milestones from initiation through close-out, including post-completion

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of project management experience in construction.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Excellent analytical, listening, written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, analyze, and forecast a project cost report.
• Travel 2-3 days per week as per business needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects from a department perspective to meet internal and external stakeholders’ needs.
• Manage stakeholders to ensure adherence to procedures, project metrics, standards, codes, safety, quality, and contracts.
• Coordinate with Store Planning, Real Estate, and Development teams for layouts and approvals.
• Work with estimators to prepare cost estimates and forecast resource needs for project activities.
• Develop overall project schedules with milestone dates and provide status overviews to management.
• Assist in procurement, engage qualified contractors, and review bids; issue awards and contracts.
• Complete project close-out and warranty resolution; resolve issues with staff and dealers.
