Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to lead project accounting, manage WIP, revenue recognition, and cost tracking across construction projects in the Greater Toronto Area. You will prepare IFRS-compliant reports, review vendor invoices, monitor cash flow, and collaborate with project teams to provide timely financial insights.

A CPA or equivalent designation and 4+ years in project accounting are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA considered an asset.
• Minimum 4 years of project accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel with complex formulas (XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH) and dynamic arrays.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial management of construction projects, incl. WIP, revenue recognition, and backlog reporting.
• Review and validate invoices, monitor cash collections, and ensure cost control.
• Prepare IFRS-compliant financial reports and support audits.
