Job summary

Allnorth, a multidisciplinary engineering, project delivery and construction services company with offices across Canada, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to deliver industrial projects with a safety-first mindset. You will lead project teams, coordinate with engineering to meet design specs, and manage schedules, costs, and contract compliance across domestic and international assignments.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mining, pulp and paper, or heavy industrial sectors,

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience as Construction Manager in mining, pulp and paper, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Academic qualifications or experience enabling interface with engineering and management teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines; results oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction execution plan, safety, environmental, quality plans, RFIs, change notices, NCRs, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with engineering to ensure work meets design specs and contractual requirements.
• Assist with recruitment, development, and retention of project teams.
• Foster strong interpersonal relationships to communicate with all levels.
• Develop remediation plans to address schedule or cost issues.

ADayintheLife

• Manage the Construction Execution Plan, Safety Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, Requests for Information,Change Notices, Non-Conformance Reports, commissioning and energization processes, as-built completions, and contract compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering to ensure work is executed in accordance with design specifications, standards, and contractual requirements while prioritizing safety.
• Assistwiththerecruitment,development,andretentionofprojectteams,includinginternalteammembers,contractors,andsubcontractors.
• Establishandmaintainstronginterpersonalrelationshipstoeffectivelycommunicateandcollaboratewithindividualsatalllevels.
• Developremediationplanswiththeprojectteamtoaddressscheduleorcostissues.

WhatYou'llBringtotheTeam

• Aminimumof10yearsofexperienceasaConstructionManagerinthemining,pulpandpaper,orheavyindustrialsectors.
• Academicqualificationsand/orexperiencethatenableyoutoeffectivelyinterfacewithengineeringandmanagementteams.
• Aresults orientedapproachwiththeabilitytomanagemultiplecompetingprioritiesandtimelines.
• Stronganalytical,problem-solving,audit,andinvestigationskills.
