Job summary

Norpac is seeking a Controller to ensure accurate financial information, strong controls, and robust project costing across diverse projects. The role partners with executives, project managers, and operations to align financial planning with operational realities.

Qualifications

• CPA designation (CPA Canada) is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including construction.
• Strong knowledge of job costing and project accounting.
• Proficiency with accounting systems (Viewpoint, Sage 300, Jonas, QuickBooks).
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AR, AP, payroll, job costing, and GL.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (ASPE/IFRS).
• Manage cash flow, forecasting, and working capital.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Oversee job cost reporting, WIP, budgets vs. actuals; variance analysis.
• Coordinate audits and ensure internal controls.
