Job summary

Qualcomm Canada ULC in Ontario is seeking an ASIC verification engineer to develop multimedia and compute solutions for next generation mobile SoCs. Replacement Position; you will work with design, architects, and verification leads to develop verification strategy and test plans.

Responsibilities include creating UVM environments, writing tests, developing C reference models, and performing coverage and debugging in a team setting. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field is required, with 2+ years of ASIC design/verification experience or 1+ years with a Master’s, or a PhD.
• Master’s or PhD candidates considered for advanced roles in verification and design.
• Proficient in UVM/SystemVerilog and able to script with Perl/Python.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with design, architects, and verification leads to develop the multimedia and compute subsystem integration verification strategy and test plan.
• Create verification environment using UVM/SystemVerilog.
• Resolve architecture, design, or verification problems with minimal supervision.
• Write tests and regressions to identify bugs and assist junior team members.
• Develop C reference model.
• Interpret results of performance checks and identify issues.
• Communicate with leads on significant deviations from the Plan of Record.
• Perform RTL code coverage, assertion coverage, functional coverage, and gate-level simulations.
• Employ power-aware verification techniques to verify low-power design features.
• Identify opportunities for productivity improvements and adopt new verification methodologies.
