ComForCare Home Health Care - Halton is seeking a compassionate Senior Companion to support seniors in Georgetown, ON. You will provide companionship, assist with daily living activities, and accompany clients to appointments and social activities.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate genuine passion for working with seniors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, patient and empathetic demeanor.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a professional attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are assets.
• Ability to pass DEARS assessment and undergo background checks.
• Strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors in their homes.
• Assist with daily living activities: light housekeeping, meals, errands.
• Accompany clients to appointments, outings, and community activities.
• Monitor and report changes in client health, mood, or behavior to the care team.
• Engage clients in hobbies and conversation to promote mental well‑being.
• Provide respite support to family caregivers as needed.
• Maintain accurate client care records per company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors in their homes, fostering trust and positive relationships
• Assist clients with daily living activities such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands
• Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, and community activities
• Monitor and report changes in client health, mood, or behavior to the care team
• Engage clients in meaningful conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities to promote mental well-being
• Provide respite support to family caregivers as needed
• Maintain accurate client care records and documentation in accordance with company standards

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a caregiving, companion care, or personal support role is an asset
• Genuine passion for working with seniors and elderly individuals
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a professional attitude
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle considered an asset
• Ability to pass the DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) assessment.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening required
