Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Halton is looking for a compassionate Senior Companion to provide in-home care and genuine companionship for seniors, helping with daily living tasks and emotional support in the home environment.

You will accompany clients to appointments, assist with light housekeeping and meal prep, and engage them in activities to support mental well-being while reporting changes to the care team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a caregiving, companion care, or personal support role is an asset
• Genuine passion for working with seniors and elderly individuals
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a professional attitude
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle considered an asset
• Ability to pass the DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) assessment.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening required
• Comprehensive initial training provided.
