Job summary

Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking one Intermediate Communications Specialist to join our Service Delivery team at the Ministry of Justice (Government of Alberta).

The role is onsite in Edmonton, 7.25 hours per day, contract through 2027 with possible extensions. You will develop executive communications, messaging, and branding, collaborate with executives and project teams, and deliver clear, timely communications that meet Alberta Courts standards.

Qualifications

• University graduation in a related field (Commerce, Communications) plus four years of related experience OR diploma plus six years of related experience.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and professional interaction with a diverse group.
• Experience developing and implementing effective communication plans (2+ years).
• Experience creating executive/leadership communications, employee communications, announcements, newsletters, and briefing materials (3+ years).
• Experience developing professional presentations and visual materials for senior leadership (3+ years).
• Experience reviewing and improving existing communications for clarity and audience suitability (2+ years).
• Experience translating complex business or technical information into clear communications (3+ years).
• Experience working with executives and subject matter experts to gather information and develop materials (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Develop executive communications on behalf of the Executive Director and CTS leadership.
• Prepare monthly CTS Branch communications based on information from leadership.
• Develop communication strategies and plans supporting transformation and technology initiatives.
• Create presentations, executive briefing notes, speaking notes, newsletters, FAQs, infographics, and visuals.
• Develop branding and visual identity for CTS initiatives with consistency across materials.
• Translate complex business/technical information into clear, audience-appropriate communications.
• Support change initiatives through employee engagement and change communications.
• Review, edit, and QA communications prepared by project teams and leadership.
• Review service outage and maintenance notifications for readability and effectiveness.
• Develop standardized templates and guidance for operational and executive communications.
• Collaborate with executives, managers, SMEs, and project teams to gather information.
• Develop materials for executive meetings, town halls, and stakeholder sessions.
• Provide communications advice to CTS leadership and align with standards and plain language principles.
