Job summary

Peterbilt Pacific Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical and electrical systems on commercial transport trucks in British Columbia.

You will collaborate with Journeyman and Apprentice Technicians, perform scheduled maintenance, road tests and diagnostics, and communicate repair plans to the supervisor. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork within a busy shop.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school.
• Completion of a four-year Truck and Transport Technician Apprenticeship.
• 4+ years of work experience.
• Valid inspection ticket to perform commercial vehicle inspections is an asset.
• Valid class 1 OR 3 Driver’s License with airbrake endorsement is an asset.
• Superior mechanical aptitude with an in-depth knowledge of heavy duty truck repairs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical and electrical systems on commercial transport trucks.
• Work with Journeyman and Apprentice Technicians to service over 10,000 trucks per year.
• Perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication and tune ups.
• Utilize OEM diagnostic procedures to diagnose and repair chassis and drivetrain defects.
• Conduct diagnostic road tests and communicate repair plans clearly.
