Intact seeks a Senior Commercial Property Adjuster to join our Commercial Property team in Calgary, guiding clients through the claims process from first notice to resolution with empathy and strong organization. You will coordinate with vendors, independent adjusters and experts to investigate, evaluate and settle claims efficiently.

This hybrid role offers a competitive CAD salary range (80,700–98,700) with a 10% annual bonus target, plus pension, telemedicine and an ESPP.

80,700 - 98,700

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role

We're looking for a Senior Commercial Property Adjuster to join our growing Commercial Property team!

As a Senior Commercial Property Adjuster, you will support customers who have experienced damage or loss to their commercial property by guiding them through the claims process from first notice to resolution. You will coordinate with vendors, independent adjusters, and subject-matter experts to investigate, evaluate, and settle claims efficiently and accurately. Success in this role requires empathy, strong listening and communication skills, sound business judgment, and excellent organization to manage multiple commercial property claims through to completion.

What you’ll do here:

• Analyze information gathered, interpret insurance policy wordings, determine coverage, and assess damage

• Develop an action plan to ensure all aspects of the claim are addressed

• Manage all financial components of the claim, including setting reserves and ensuring prompt and equitable settlements in line with Intact's policies and standards

• Ensure clear and concise information and direction is provided to vendors

• Work with experts including appraisers, engineers and others to help drive progress throughout the claim

• Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, and answer queries relating to the claims process

• Keep up to date on Intact's insurance products, appraisal and investigation techniques, and service

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum adjusting experience - 3 years for a Senior and 5 years for the Specialist role. Commercial adjusting experience is considered an asset.
