A leading company in Montreal seeks a sales professional to identify prospects, manage client relationships, and support account managers. Identify and solicit sales prospects from various sources by cold calls, mailings, and phone contact in addition to those provided by the company.
Solicit referrals from existing accounts.
Assist in resolving any problems in accounting or claims.
Support and enhance the standing/position of office personnel with clients as part of a broader client relationship.
Coordinate timely presentations for both new and renewal business.
Assist in marketing accounts where appropriate with an appropriately balanced mix of relationship development and product expertise.
Achieve a balance in production to meet agency "mix of business" goals.
Arrange for premium payment in a competent manner utilizing internal and external financing, installments, etc.
Accurately describe policies and endorsements for precise alignment with client needs.
Assist Account Managers with the closing of prospective accounts and collaborate on the enhancement of existing accounts.
Enhance cross-selling efforts by referring clients to Life and Commercial Lines Departments.
Meet and track monthly new business premium goals through a variety of sources: cold calls, referrals, niche marketing, and other appropriate avenues.
Acquire all necessary information for a quality new business submission, including: application details, questionnaires, photos, diagrams, and other pertinent data for risk assessment.
Be available for communication with marketing department, underwriters, and loss control staff.
Assist with the presentation of new business proposals to clients.
Arrange for the delivery of policies when received from the company.
Maintain knowledge of underwriting criteria for carriers represented by the brokerage.
Assist senior staff in evaluating and coordinating risk submissions for selected markets.
Maintain working relationships with underwriters to facilitate risk placement negotiations.
Stay current with developments on existing accounts.
Submit outbound communications (letters, calls, etc.) as required.
Assist the Senior Account Executive with renewal documentation presentations.
Maintain client relationships; resolve coverage and payment issues; counsel clients on coverage questions.
Obtain, explain, and exchange information with business representatives, clients, contractors/suppliers, employees, and the public.
