Job summary

JLR Ottawa is seeking a Senior Civil Technologist to join our Civil Municipal team. You will develop civil design drawings for roads, sewers, watermains and active transportation using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation, and you'll collaborate with engineers and technologists.

This full-time role offers ownership through client work, mentorship, and growth opportunities, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions for communities in the Ottawa region.

Qualifications

• Experience creating civil design drawings and infrastructure concepts.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation proficiency.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil design drawings for roads, sanitary and storm sewers, watermains, and active transportation infrastructure using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
• Assist engineers, project managers, and technologists with project execution during all phases.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits and inspections for local construction projects.
• Demonstrate organization, administrative, observational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Prepare tenders, construction drawings, and reports for infrastructure renewal projects.
