Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Site Engineer to lead on-site operations for major infrastructure projects in East London. You will manage day-to-day site activities, coordinate subcontractors and direct labor, and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

The candidate should have a strong civil engineering background, proven leadership, and the ability to resolve on-site challenges while maintaining project schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 6 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and civil engineering technologies.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all on-site civil engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on the construction site.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent and experienced Senior Civil Site Engineer to lead critical site operations for major infrastructure projects in East London . This role is central to ensuring that all civil engineering works are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, including planning, coordination, and problem-solving to overcome construction challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, and a proven ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively within the demanding construction environment of the Eastern Cape .
